Weather

The following information is designed to help access weather-brief reports to the fullest extent possible. A standard weather briefing should normally be requested to help ensure your embarking without, to the maximum extent possible, weather surprises that could change your go/no-go decision. The following types of weather information need to be reviewed prior to each flight plan filing:

  • adverse conditions

  •  whether VFR flight is/isnot recommended

  •  synopsis of prevailing weather conditions

  • current conditions

  • en route forecast

  • destination forecast

  • winds aloft

  • any additional information the pilot may request
