In addition high altitude flight time can be logged in a pilots log book therefore making a pilot more appealing to potential employers. Albuquerque is nestled in the Rio Grande Valley at five thousand three hundred ten feet (5,310 ft. / 1,609 m) above sea level with area mountains exceeding eleven thousand feet (11, 000 ft. / 3,333.3 m.) above sea level.
