• FAA Instrument Rating written exam
• 45 hours cross country pilot in command (PIC)
• 25 hours simulated instrument
• Experience per FAR 61.65*
• Private pilot airplane single engine land
• Current flight review

FAA Training Minimums: Hold a Class III medical certificate, log at least 50 hours of cross-country flight time as PIC with a total of 40 hours of actual or simulated flight hours and pass written and practical tests.
